For Prevention:
• Eat well. That means lots of vegetables, fruits and your protein of choice such as meat, fish, beans, etc. Avoid junk food, fast food and highly processed food.
• Sleep. That means 8-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep
• Exercise. You can’t go a gym right now, but walking and on-line exercise programs are great options
• The following supplements can be helpful:
o Vitamin D3. The general recommendation is 2,000 units per day. The ideal blood level of vitamin D is between 60-80
o Vitamin C (liposomal is the best) 2,000 mg per day
• Immune Boosting Herbs – We have a special herbal formula to boost the immune system. These herbs are used if you are not sick and want to have a strong immune system to prevent getting sick. Call if you want some, no appointment needed
• Social Distancing. Avoid groups especially those larger than ten. When you go to the store, maintain a distance of 6 feet.
• Wash your hands with soap (ordinary soap is fine), scrub for 20 seconds sing the happy birthday song if you don’t want to count

If you do get sick:
• If you have difficulty breathing or have a high fever, call 911 or go to the ER
• Call your PCP, they will screen you over the phone and will only see you if necessary
• If you don’t have a PCP, call an Urgent Care Center
• If a doctor has told you to stay home, and you are feeling sick, call our office. We will set up a phone or on-line consultation and will send you an appropriate herbal formula based on your specific symptoms. Chinese Herbs provide a lot of options for colds, flu, cough, sore throat, allergies.
