Pain

Whether recent or long term, any where in the body, acupuncture can help

Two major articles published in 2017 highlight the value of acupuncture for pain conditions.  The first article is a guideline published by the American College of Physicians which identifies the importance of acupuncture for the treatment of back pain (A Qaseem et al, 2017).  The second article identifies the importance of acupuncture for the treatment of migraine, chronic headache, low back pain, knee arthritis and many other pain conditions (J. McDonald, S Janz, 2017)

We use several different methods to resolve pain conditions.  We select the method that is the best match for the patient and the type and duration of pain. To learn more about these methods, read the following:

We can help you regardless of whether your pain is acute or chronic:

Acute Pain

Comes on suddenly. For example, you bend over and suddenly get a stabbing pain in your back. Acute pain is also the type you experience after an accident or surgery

Chronic pain

Defined by pain that lasts three months or longer

Here are some examples of pain conditions we treat every day:

Arthritis

There are two types of arthritis: osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Both types affect joints. Osteoarthritis is a condition associated with overuse of a joint. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease of the joints. Both types of arthritis can benefit from acupuncture.
